Similar like what happened last year, we took the Murdoch University forensic students to UKM Forensics Simulation Site to observe and collect insects from rabbit carcasses. It was a further exposure to forensic entomology and to spark interest on decomposition research. I was assisted by my best colleague, Dr. Paola A. Magni, to explain about the process and some interesting fly species around the carcasses. In the afternoon, we went for a forensic entomology lab practice, to look for the identification features in forensic Calliphoridae. (Picture: Hilmi Baba)
